In 1984, Oscar Ancira Sr. had everything he wanted in America except one thing: he missed the mouthwatering taste of Mexican food.

street-style flavors he loved with the world.

The Story of Our Name.

Oscar had one mission: to make delicious Mexican food available to all Americans. But what to call his company? One of his daughters had an epiphany: like the combination of ingredients, techniques, and flavors in Mexican cooking, why not just combine "Delicious Mexican" into one delicious word. Delimex was born.
